Emulated LVDS, RSDS, and Mini-LVDS Termination
SV51006
2014.01.10
In Stratix V devices, the LVDS I/O standard requires a 2.5 V V CCIO level. The LVDS input buffer requires
2.5 V V CCPD . The LVDS receiver requires a 100 Ω termination resistor between the two signals at the input
buffer. Stratix V devices provide an optional 100 Ω differential termination resistor in the device using
R D OCT if V CCPD is set to 2.5 V.
Figure 5-19: LVDS I/O Standard Termination
This figure shows the LVDS I/O standard termination. The on-chip differential resistor is available in all
I/O banks.

Emulated LVDS, RSDS, and Mini-LVDS Termination
The I/O banks also support emulated LVDS, RSDS, and mini-LVDS I/O standards.
Emulated LVDS, RSDS and mini-LVDS output buffers use two single-ended output buffers with an external
three-resistor network, and can be tri-stated.
